Creating a Magic Ring (Round 1)
Wrap: Wrap the yarn around two fingers of your left hand twice, forming an "X" in the front.
Hook & Pull: Insert your hook under the first strand, catch the second strand, and pull it through.
Secure: Yarn over (hook the yarn) and pull it through the loop on the hook to create a chain-1.
Work Stitches: Crochet 6 single crochets (SC) into the center of this ring.
Close: Gently pull the short tail-end yarn until the center hole closes securely.
Mark: Avoid joining with a slip stitch; rather, place a marker in the first stitch you created (you should have a total of 6 stitches).
